Web development (Next.js)

Next.js development services for fast, SEO-friendly websites

A slow website costs you visitors and rankings. I build custom websites and web apps with Next.js and React that load fast, are built to pass Core Web Vitals and are ready for Google from the first line of code. Hire a Next.js developer who also understands SEO and conversion.

The modern web standard

Why Next.js?

The leading React framework for fast websites, strong search visibility, fewer security headaches and easy long-term growth. Pick a reason below to see how it works.

app/blog/[slug]/page.tsxExample
// Build every post ahead of time,
// then refresh it in the background every minute
export const revalidate = 60;

export async function generateStaticParams() {
  const posts = await getPosts();
  return posts.map((post) => ({ slug: post.slug }));
}

Deep dive: Speed

Pages built ahead of time, served instantly

Next.js can build pages ahead of time and refresh them in the background, or render them on the server for each visit. Visitors get fast first loads, stable layouts and pages that respond quickly.

  • Static generation with background refresh
  • Server-side rendering when you need it
  • Automatic image and font optimisation
  • Strong Core Web Vitals scores

Got questions?

Frequently asked questions

What you need to know about building, migrating and growing your website with Next.js.

How long does a Next.js website take?

A typical 5 to 8 page business website takes 2 to 4 weeks. Web apps are scoped and quoted individually.

Most 5 to 8 page marketing sites are ready in 2 to 4 weeks, depending on how quickly content and feedback come back. For web apps, custom databases or complex integrations, I map out a timeline with milestones during our discovery call, so you know the dates before work starts.

Can I edit the content myself?

Yes. I connect a headless CMS such as Sanity, so you can update pages without touching code.

I pair Next.js with a headless CMS like Sanity. You get a simple editing dashboard to change text, swap images, write blog posts and publish updates yourself, with no coding needed. I'll also show you how to use it before handover.

Will a redesign hurt my rankings?

I map every old URL, set up 301 redirects and carry over your metadata, to protect the rankings you already have.

Before launch, I audit your current URLs, build a full 301 redirect map, keep your page titles and descriptions, and move your structured data across. After launch, I monitor Google Search Console for errors and fix anything that comes up. Rankings can move a little while Google re-crawls a new site, but these steps keep that to a minimum.
